What We Do

AFRORMOSIA is based in Pinetown in the greater Durban area of KwaZulu-Natal. To date a variety of different woods have been used to manufacture furniture and house furnishings which include Pine, Oregon Pine, Oak, Saligna and Beech etc. Finishes are dependent on customer's choice however only high quality stains, paint effects and finishes in matt, satin or gloss are utilized to seal and protect the furniture and furnishings.

AFRORMOSIA's primary objective is to become the leading brand name in quality wooden furniture and house furnishings both locally and expanding internationally in time. Whilst growing our company into a sizeable operation that prides itself on the quality of its products giving back to the communities that serve it and environment that provides the raw materials.

Background

AFRORMOSIA was started on the 1st April 2003. Our experienced team of carpenters, machinist and assemblers has in excess of sixty years' experience in the furniture and household furnishings industry. AFRORMOSIA specializes in the manufacturing exterior and interior furniture and house furnishings which include skirting, architrave, fire surrounds, kitchens, built in cupboards, solid wooden flooring, custom built doors, bars etc. AFRORMOSIA was developed on the basis of providing the market with quality wooden furniture and house furnishings that would enhance the warmth and comfort of the customer's home. AFRORMOSIA prides itself on the quality of the workmanship of its products whilst striving to exceed its customers' expectations.
