Founding Story

Afrormosia, named after the West African Hardwood tree, began as a manufacturing and distribution company in Durban in 2003.

As our founder, Patrick, continued to build on his passions for trading in the Southern African region, the business naturally evolved to focus in on the service industry as a whole. With his areas of expertise growing deeper in the micro-managing of sourcing, logistics and delivery of products, the manufacturing division of Afrormosia fell away to make room purely for the imports and exports business.

This became the name of the game; and Afrormosia grew to where it is today - the number one choice for the import and export of goods such as Salt, Dairy, FMCG, and Stock Feeds throughout Africa.
